The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show is supposed to be our little reprieve from the Idaho winter. However, this year we brought the Idaho winter with us and showed through the worst storm Arizona has seen in 40 years. The weather was so unheard of that we witnessed snow on cactus. But as they say, the show must go on. And it was a very good one for Nathan Kent Performance Horses. The first is seeing the next generation of horse crazy kids in the leadline. Conner is to the age where he can do leadline and he is quite the show stopper out there.
Some other notable wins include Nicole Kent and Nobles Top Gun sweeping the Arabian Non Pro Maturity. And Nathan placing 3rd on E Zee Slider in the Arabian Reining Futurity Level 4 and 2nd in the Level 1. E Zee Slider is owned by Connie Schmidt. We also had some firsts like Halley Kaes showing her Arabian gelding, TWS Zee Surfer, for the first time ever and Jim Shippers making his reining and ranch riding debut on Mi Alita.
