The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show kicked off the 2018 show season for Nathan Kent Performance Horses. The Arizona weather wasn’t the kindest to us but we persevered. We took three
horses down this year. For two of them it was their first time in the show pen and I always say if they aren’t broke by the end of the show they may never be. SH Chrome Forty Five is a four year old purebred stallion by Nobles Top Gun and out of Arissta TWR. His inexperience in the show pen came through in the first go but we made the finals on Friday night and took home a healthy check in both the level 4 and 1. PA Marco was his consistent self and took home roses in the Intermediate Maturity. I also showed another horse bred by my dad, SH Cold Hard Cash, in the Half-Arabian Futurity Level 1. We had some lead change penalty points that kept us from the finals but I am really excited for what the 2018 show season brings for him.
